   Cheryl Mullin- Owner and Head Fitness Trainer
 

      I have been a fitness professional for 10 years with national certifications through AFAA, ISSA and ACE. I hold certifications as a Personal Trainer, Group Aerobics Instructor, Pilates Mat 1 Coach and I am currently pursuing my sports nutrition certification. My love and passion for fitness began with dance at the early age of 5. With professional training in Ballet, African and Lyrical Dance, I was able to explorer other avenues of fitness. I became addicted to exercise and decided to become a cheerleader through high school and college. My pursuit for the ultimate work out, lead me to college track and field. During my 3 years as a track athlete, I learned about weight lifting, plyometrics, various forms of circuit training and drill training. With the knowledge I obtained as an athlete, I decided to get my first Personal Training Certification through Ace. At this point, I could not imagine a life without fitness, it has been what keeps me positive, motivated and happy. I started Tone You Up, Inc. to bring my personal love for fitness and sports to those around me. 

    It has been my  goal to educate all my clients on how to lead a healthy and fit life! I like to challenge and encourage my clients to surpass their physical and mental boundaries by using functional exercises and sound nutritional planning. Each program that I design is based on each client’s specific needs and goals in order to get the best results.  With my knowledge, experience and dedication, I can help anyone achieve their fitness goals!

 

 

   Yvette Aviles Trainer and Nutrition Coach           

         I have six years experience as a Certified Personal Trainer. My specialty has been in body sculpting, personal training and spin cycle fitness. For the past 6 years I have been focused on the best types of training that will help clients lose weight and reshape their bodies. As in any occupational field , keeping up with the latest information and technique is key in becoming successful. I prefer to tailor workouts and nutrition based on the individual, not a generic form of training.

          I have learned from personal experience that fitness is vital to my personal happiness. Not only for cosmetic and physical appearance, but because fitness gives me a sense of accomplishment and my self esteem is much improved. I understand how difficult it can be to lose pounds and gain strength. Prior to becoming a personal trainer my weight fluctuated as well as my eating habits. I always loved to work out, but without the proper nutrition and caloric intake, my body stayed the same. Once I learned how important caloric energy and exercise was, my body started to change and my outlook on life changed. I believe that to get the best results physically, you must come out of your "comfort zone" and everyone knows their own weaknesses. I no longer look at how I "can't" do something, but how I will "overcome" something.

 

 

Kelvin Cudjoe- Sports Coach

       I am a 22 year old German male and am currently involved in many sports including soccer, basketball, tennis, track and field. I am very competetive individual and enjoy the challenges that sport activities offer. I am a hard working individual and set my expectations and goals with high standard. Maximum effort brings forth maximum results and I take that with me to every workout. I was raised in a society in which soccer was the dominant sport of choice and I have been playing for over 10 years. It is in my opinion one of the most challenging and difficult sports in the world. There is so much cardio and endurance involved, that every major muscle group in the body benefits, especially the lower body.

    My experience with Tone You Up, Inc. to this point has been wonderful. I implement my skills with soccer and track and field to help our clients achieve their physical goals. It is my goal to make sure that all of our clients reach their maximum potential and to inspire anyone else who is willing to make the commitment. We plant the seeds to success and give you the client the tools to make your body and mind function at it's peak. 

 

 

Rodney Santi- Boxing Coach

          I was brought up in Jersey City, New Jersey where boxing is the sport of choice. I have been boxing since I was 12 years old and developed a passion for the sport. I later played varsity basketball, football and baseball. During my off season from sports I trained at local boxing gyms. At a young age I learned the importance of discipline and the connection between a healthy body and mind. Always being a person who loved a challenge, I enlisted into the United States Army at the age of 18 and served for 4 years. Through my military and sports background I have been able to create a variety of workouts that challenge our clients. I enjoy mixing different forms of exercise such as kick boxing, plyometrics and core work to keep clients motivated and interested in fitness. With every work out, I aim to bring each client one step closer to their fitness goals!
